The paintings here are from a new series exploring discovery. As the eye explores and reads abstract imagery, it sometimes finds what it can to make sense out of what is presented. Here, I have knit in some realism to entice further exploration and entertain viewers. My hope is to mimic the experience of coming upon something that thrills you in the natural world. A rare plant, a beautiful bird, or a shy animal. For me, that is a joyful and meaningful experience.
