Earlier Work

Many of these paintings are from my series called Solace, that reflects the grief brought about by my mother and mother-in-law responding to the loss of their life-partners. These women experienced their grief very differently, and made me consider the many aspects of how women cope. Writing poetry to accompany each of the works made my study go deeper. The art was shown with the writing available via QR codes.
