| Minerva Louise won first prize in the 1988 Dutton Picture Book Contest. A Hat for Minerva Louise was selected as a Horn Book Fanfare Picture Book, an ALA Notable Book, Parents' Magazine Best Book of 1994, School Library Journal's Best Book of the Year, Parent's Choice Silver Medal Award Winner and was a PBS 'S Storytime Feature. Minerva Louise at School was on American Bookseller's Pick of the lists. A Friend for Minerva Louise won the Bronze Medal from The Society of Illustrators in 1997. It also won Parenting Magazine's Reading Magic Award and was on the Children's Literature Choice list for 1998. Minerva Louise and the Red Truck is recommended by Parent's Choice. Minerva Louise and the Colorful Eggs was awarded New Jersey State Library's Pick of the Decade for 2006. |
